FAQ

Am I too long postpartum to take the class?

Nope! Many mammas 1+ year postpartum still have healing, reconnecting and strengthening to do, and we cover all of that in the postpartum series. We do recommend you be at least 4-6 weeks postpartum to start the series and cleared by your doctor to begin exercising.

Can I bring my baby?

Non mobile babies are welcome! You can wear your baby or lay him next to you during the class.

Can I do drop in’s?

We do not allow drop ins for this class. It is a 4-6 week series geared towards healing for mom, mind body and soul. It is specifically designed by rehab specialists to make changes in your breath, core and pelvic floor by taking the entire series.

Where is the class located?

Our postpartum series is held at the ClockTower Crossfit Gym in Chelsea, MI. You do not have to be a member of the gym to attend the class, it is simply the facility we host our class at.

Is this a Crossfit Workout?

No. This class is not a Crossfit workout. The physical activity we perform in this class is all from a rehab standpoint. There are concepts that overlap in relation to BIRTHFIT and Crossfit because the goal is to move in a functional way, however, this class is geared towards rehab of the postpartum mom.

Is it safe for me to join?

Most likely, the answer is yes. Every movement we do in this class can be scaled to fit where you are in your postpartum journey. We start with breath work and evolve to functional full body movements. If something is not right, Dr. Liz will help you modify the movement so that it is safe for you. Some things we utilize for feedback is the presence of a diastasis recti in your abdomen during any movements, pressure in your pelvic floor or pain overall.
